“You don’t have to live like this!”
said Lazara’s inner voice.

Completely lost, broken by life, she was ashamed of who she had become.

Her life started so brilliantly. She had a beautiful home. A family. A dog. A sister. A mum and dad. They had a family business. Love, happiness and belonging was all there. They had moved from Scotland to live on the sunny coast of Spain.

And then she had nothing.

Lazara tried to escape with drugs and found herself in unsuitable relationships.

A rollercoaster of highs and lows, her life began to truly unravel. She was 18 years old.

Then something miraculous happened.

Remembering her mum’s words after her sister’s death: “We have a choice, we can turn this around! We can live an amazing life.”

This realisation and glimpse of a better life was enough for Lazara to finally listen to her inner voice, her own guidance.

In Lazara’s story we learn how she looked at life, how she faced the reality of her situation. And the truth of what she saw set her free.

In darkness, you can create light. Lazara Learned to step into her personal power, take responsibility for her choices and make better ones. She started listening to her heart, finding what she truly wanted in life. Allowing herself hope and vision for the future, she let go of her childhood trauma and past mistakes with self love and care.

At 44, she has a 22-year-old son and a two-year old daughter. She resigned from a 20-year international career in learning and development that allowed her to coach and develop senior leaders in the tough and competitive world of finance.

Her journey and career has taken her from Shotts to Spain, Jersey, Istanbul and Hong Kong.

But mainly it has taken her into herself. She now works to help others learn to become their own fairy godmother.
